SailingWhitsundays.com is a travel agency that was established in 1994.We are a long established locally owned and operated travel and internet centre. We have specialists of the highest qualifications in all fields that we operate in, from sailing and diving to island and mainland accommodation, plus plane, coach and train travel. SailingWhitsundays.com operates under Whitsunday Central Reservation Centre and is ATAS Accredited Travel Agency Licence Holder No: A12711.
Where is your office?
Our office is located right in the heart of Airlie Beach. As you arrive down the hill into the main street, we are the large information centre on the left hand side, right next door to the Hogs Breath Café. What is there to do in Airlie Beach?
Airlie Beach is the gateway to the Whitsunday’s and The Great Barrier Reef, and as such, we have many options for sailing and diving adventures. There are various other land activities as well either here in Airlie or on one of the local island resorts.
How do you get to Airlie beach?
Airlie Beach is easily accessible by coach, plane, train and even by water. Flights arrive into Proserpine and Hamilton Island with daily Qantas and Virgin Blue (Proserpine). Transfers from these airports are well serviced with either ferrys or bus shuttles. Please see our Travel Info page for more information
Which Islands can you book for?
All of them! We get the best local rates on all the island retreats and resorts in the Whitsundays. Hamilton Island Resort, South Molle Island, Daydream Island, Club Crocodile or Peppers Palm Bay Resort on Long Island, Club Med on Lindeman and of course the prestigious Hayman Island Resort.

What can we do on the Islands?
On all islands there is a range of watersports, dining and leisure activities and day cruises available. If there is a particular activity you enjoy ask which would be the best island for you.
What groups of people can sailing trips cater for?
We can organise trips for a vast range of travellers. From personal, small group trips, people travelling on a budget, looking for a party, exhilarating or relaxing cruises. We even cater for people that are susceptible to sea sickness, have special dietary requirements or any other special needs.
What are some of the things that I might have the opportunity to experience on my sailing trip?
The cost of your sailing trip usually covers your meals, accommodation (either on the vessel or on an island), your snorkeling equipment, a visit to the world famous Whitehaven Beach, coral reef snorkeling, bush walking in some of our well renowned national parks and of course sailing in some of the best conditions Australia has to offer! Some of the vessels can include activities like: free scuba diving; wakeboarding; beach volleyball; kite surfing; Great Barrier Reef coral viewing, tube riding and the list goes on!
Can I participate in the sailing?
On all trips you have the opportunity to participate in sailing your chosen vessel. However, while you are encouraged to join in the fun of hoisting the sail or taking the helm, you are also more than welcome to relax on the deck and let the crew do all the work. If the sailing really takes your interest we can also discuss options for gaining your sailing accreditation in the Whitsundays.
But I have never sailed before, can I join a sailing trip?
Yes, you don’t need any sailing or boating experience to enjoy the Whitsunday sailing adventures. We have access to over 70 crewed sailing vessels to suit all tastes.
