2 Day 2 Night Sailing Cruise
Departure Days: Tuesday | Friday | Sunday

Here’s why you will love exploring the Whitsundays on board Blizzard

Blizzard overnight tour combines real sailing performance and true comfort. She was built in 2011 to be the ultimate Whitsunday sailing yacht. Below deck she features 5 cabins, 3 bathrooms and a stylish saloon. Above deck, a large shaded area provides comfort without sacrificing sailing ability. To sail aboard this vessel is much more than just a tour, it is a unique adventure experience and all those who sail their boats are considered as new friends rather than just passengers.

Blizzard is a well maintained 50ft Beneteau Oceanis yacht, one of the youngest boats amongst commercial Whitsundays’ boats. She easily sails even in light winds: no help nor sailing experience required from guests. Relax and enjoy the ease of sailing. Blizzard consists of 5 cabins, 2 x private double bed berths with ensuites, 1 x private double bed and 1 x private twin beds cabin with communal bathroom facility and 1 x bunk bed berth offering dorm style accommodation.

Having only 10 guests on board allows Blizzard to visit pristine locations within the Whitsunday Marine Park, seeing the best of the Whitsunday Islands whilst avoiding the crowds. Sail with us and experience the Whitsundays from the perspective of a sailor. Your experienced skipper will sail you to Whitehaven Beach, spectacular bays and the best snorkelling locations. The colourful corals and most abundant marine life are close to the surface, so all one needs to do is put on a mask and snorkel to be amazed by the underwater world. At night the boat will be safely anchored in a calm bay allowing you time to socialize or just relax under the stars of the southern sky.

On board she has the coolest water sports equipment. There is no better way to explore a serene Whitsunday bay than on a stand-up paddle board. Standing up gives you a superior perspective allowing you to see fish, turtles, the contours of the reef. Add the Bond factor to your trip with the latest underwater sea scooter and glide effortlessly through the water like the legendary secret agent. Sail on board Blizzard and experience the waterman (or waterwoman) lifestyle.

Day One
Your friendly skipper will meet with all guests at designated meeting area in the northern precinct of Abell Point Marina, short walk from the center Airlie Beach. You will then be brought to your vessel and allocated your sleep area for the cruise. Once being shown your cabin area, the boat heads out to sea and you can enjoy your first sail. Sit back, relax, have a drink and get to know your fellow sailors. Snacks will be served after sundown. Once you have reached a secluded bay of the Whitsunday Islands your vessel will set anchorage for the first night; the crew will commence preparing dinner.
Day Two
Awake to the smell of fresh coffee being prepared for breakfast at approximately 7:00 AM. Once breakfast is packed away the boat will head to your first snorkel destination. This could be Border Island or in one of the bays of Hook Island or somewhere else; this could also happen in the afternoon after visiting Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet Lookout. Your skipper will brief you about snorkelling, the equipment and marine life. A tender boat will be with you throughout your entire snorkelling time, you will not be left alone. After lunch early afternoon you will arrive at famous Whitsunday Island. Gather your beach bag and camera, the view from the Hill Inlet Lookout is always fantastic and afterwards there is plenty of time to hang out on the popular Whitehaven Beach. Another boat voyage will take you to the night time anchorage for your second night. Enjoy some snacks and a breathtaking sunset over the Whitsunday Islands.
Day Three
Enjoy a sleep in or get into breakfast early to maximise your activity time on the last morning of your cruise. Relax and sunbake on deck or enjoy a watersport activity; snorkelling is also on the agenda. An exciting sailing session (depending on wind conditions) brings you back to the mainland. After a journey of around 3 hours you will step onto solid ground again where your crew will be wishing you farewell and Ahoy. Congratulations, you are a sailor now.*Please note this is a sample itinerary only,  there is no set itinerary for the overnight cruises as your cruise is based on the weather and tidal conditions we experience at the time of travel.
